Nassib made his announcement in a video posted to his Instagram account, where he said, 'I just want to take a quick moment to say that I'm gay.' The video released by the NFL comes shortly after Nassib, a defensive lineman for the Las Vegas Raiders, became the first active player to come out as gay.
The video also includes a statistic which says that youth members of the LGBTQ community 'with at least one accepting adult,' have a 40 percent lower risk of attempting suicide. The video then states that the NFL supports the Trevor Project, which according to its website, is 'the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.' The NFL stands by the LGBTQ+ community today and every day.įor more information on how you can help the visit /bkdWkAZ3vF- NFL June 28, 2021 If you love this game, you are welcome here.
